Some time ago, I had the privilege to hear an awesome testimony
from a member of my church's ministerial staff. The gist of
it was as a youngster, this little boy went to the grocery
store with his grandmother. Although she had a list, she didn't
have enough money to pay for all the groceries that she had
put into her cart. As she was deciding what to put back, this
embarrassed young man asked her what they would do. She said,
"the Lord will make a way". She paid for the fraction
of the groceries that she could, and proceeded to exit the
grocery store. On her way out of the grocery store, she was
met by the store manager, who having witnessed the transaction,
asked her if everything was okay. She let him know that she
didn't have enough money to get all the items on her list.
He asked to see the list. Wouldn't you know that he told her
to get the remaining items and it would be on him!!!!
WHAT A MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE!!!
For those of us who have witnessed first hand that God is
a Way-Maker, this comes as no surprise, but imagine how this
young man's jaw dropped when God moved in a span of 5 minutes
to take care of His faithful servant! Paul concedes to the
Romans in the 8th chapter:
"And
we know that all things work together for good
to them that love God, to them who are the called according
to his purpose."
(Rom 8:28 KJV)
And we know...it is a given!!!!
There are no coincidences!!!!
Psalm 116:1-2 (NIV) sums it up - "I
love the LORD, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for
mercy. Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him
as long as I live."
I'm sure this wasn't this grandmother's first time having
called on God in her time of need. She had tried Him, and
He had proven Himself faithful, which is why she just knew
that God would work this situation out for her good.
God doesn't have to prove Himself to us, but in the third
chapter of Malachi, he tells us if we are obedient with out
tithes, he will bless us beyond measure.
"Bring
ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be
meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the
LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven,
and pour out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough
to receive it."
(Mal 3:10 KJV)
I love to hear the testimonies of the saints! In my opinion,
that is the best part of watch meeting and prayer service.
The Spirit moves in me when I hear how He has moved in my
neighbor's life, when I realize just how close and powerful
He is. When I hear how God makes a way out of no way, heals
when the doctor is stumped, and provides something out of
nothing, my jaw drops in amazement and awe much like my minister
several years ago.
I was thinking about how good God has been to me when I was
led to edit a book "Prove Me Now Herewith - Testimonies
of Overflow Blessings from Faithful Tithers". I want
to hear from those of you who have proven God and watched
him come through ...those of you who tithed instead of paying
the electric bill ...those of you who were given 3 months
to live 5 years ago ...those of you who were written off by
society but redeemed by God Himself.
If you have a testimony you would like to share, email it
to us at submissions@provemenowherewith.com.
Please include as many details as possible. We would also
like you to provide the name of your church, and your city
and state. If you are comfortable with doing so, feel free
to include your name. Upon publication, each story will include
your email address, church name, city, and state. If someone
is moved by your testimony, I'd like them to be able to reach
out to you directly. Also, feel free to forward this website
to as many people as possible. If they are a Christian, they
have a story!
Thank you in advance for your submissions prayers as we begin
this project. Be blessed.
